Artist's Comments

Ink/ Watercolor/ Acrylic

I did this for an art class project. ehhhh... I REALLY don't like how this turned out (time constraints). I may want to re-visit this same theme/set-up in a painting and on my own time - when I can more appropriately treat and execute the subject matter.

I like the concept of the work, just not the execution.

This is really cool and a great concept. (poor mice, what they do for us.) The mice with the ear and nose are interesting and I like the lizard that's poking in there. So much to look at. *stares* I must fav this, awesome work. ^^

lazy, yes, kinda... I had an hour or two to do it so I made a few shortcuts.

Thank you. the ideas for each little frame were almost directly taken from real animal experimentation photos. That is, the sick stuff you see in those frames actually happen on a daily basis.

My stuff being featured on your high traffic DA account will do wonders for my meager popularity as an artist. So, again, thanks.

Yea, it's really sad what they do to animals... I can't believe people can do those kinds of things and go home each night with a clear conscience... -__-
Hope you got a good grade for it. ^^

Well, I agree with animal experimentation in some instances. I've actually done cancer research on rats at Moffit Cancer Center here in Tampa. I value human life over animal life... well, most of the time. I guess it depends on which human life.

The tragic situation is that even though I mentally know that animal testing saves lives, I still recognize how horrible the ACT really is. And there's no escaping it. Sometimes things just suck. Sometimes things are just so wrong even though, you tell yourself it's right. That's life and it's brutal.

As I said, I really like the theme of this piece. I could talk about it for hours.

Oh my dear Lord... This made me have goosebumps all over.
I never like seeing things like these but I just had to full view it, I mean... C'mon... Poor things ;_;

I can't believe how sad this is making me >>;;

This is absoloutly amazing. It was sickening and heart wrenching to look at but the message it conveys is so much more important. I think this is beautiful in its own way.

Thanks. Are you for or against animal testing? (I don't really like either option. I have a moral delema about it, hence the piece.)
